Project Empower
Our Project Empower is part of the ACT Community Services Directorate's Child Youth and Family Support Program.
Our Project Empower is part of the ACT Community Services Directorate's Child Youth and Family Support Program. The team of case managers at Canberra PCYC use a strengths-based approach to build positive relationships with young people and families, helping them set goals and find solutions, and linking them with valuable supports in their own communities.
Case managers are in regular communication with stakeholders, and our Project Empower service can also include referral to our parenting programs, outreach programs, and activities and fitness at our Erindale Centre at Wanniassa. Our case managers work together with young people and families to help bring about positive change and increased resilience, turning hope into confidence for a positive future. Evidence-based practice shows that providing a place of belonging for young people, and working through behavioural and social issues via a holistic framework results in positive long term outcomes.
