Interview Friends (Anglicare)
Trained Anglicare volunteers who accompany a young person to provide support during police interviews.
Interview Friends is a Canberra-based Anglicare program that provides a supportive, trained adult volunteer to sit with a young person who needs to attend a police interview but does not otherwise have a suitable support person available. The program aims to ensure young people are not left without an advocate or supportive adult present during what can be a stressful and legally significant process.
