Free financial counselling support for people experiencing financial abuse as part of domestic or family violence.
Care Financial Counselling Service runs a dedicated program addressing financial abuse, where a partner or family member uses money, assets or income to control another person's decisions (e.g. restricting access to funds, taking out unauthorised debts, forging documents, or preventing employment/education). The service is open to anyone experiencing domestic or family violence and financial abuse, and connects clients to a financial counsellor as well as a list of specialist DV support organisations.
